Calimera

In 2021, the hotel joined the German Calimera hotel chain. Nowadays the chain’s hotels are located in Egypt, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey. The concept is aimed at a family vacation by the sea with active animation.

The Hotel

It’s a great hotel with a friendly atmosphere for active recreation. It can be recommended for young people, as well as families with children, who prioritize active leisure.

There is a wide sandy beach, a great variety of sport activities, three beach volleyball courts, and an open air fitness ground with a beautiful sea view. Within walking distance there is a water sport station: kitesurfing, windsurfing, yachting, parasailing, water skiing, catamaran rental, etc.

A special emphasis in the Club Calimera concept is put on meals.

Infrastructure

Club Calimera Yati Beach 4* have 326 Standard and Family Rooms which are located in several buildings. There are 3 bars and 3 restaurants, 2 swimming pools (an outdoor pool and a children’s pool), water slides, a fitness room, 4 tennis courts, a SPA center ($), a mini club and a children’s playground. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby, lobby bar and rooms.

Beach

The hotel is situated on the 1st coastline and has a private sandy gently sloping beach.

Sun loungers, beach and pool umbrellas are provided free of charge, beach towels are available with a deposit.

Water slides

There is a water park in the hotel which consists of 3 slides for adults.

Bars & Restaurants

Ultra All Inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style in the main restaurant. There are two a la carte restaurants which specialize in Italian/ Mediterranean cuisine and Tunisian cuisine. Each restaurant can be visited free of charge once during the stay upon an advance reservation.

There are Ultra All Inclusive bars in the lobby (drinks 24/24), by the pool and on the beach.

There are 3 Room Types: Standard Room, Sea View Room, Family Room. Maximum occupancy is 4 people.

Additional Information

Changes of the List and Terms of Provided Services

In Tunisian hotels the Open Space service (serving the clients outdoors) is usually provided from 01/06 till 30/09. The actual schedule correlates with weather conditions.

The mandatory air conditioning period in Tunisia lasts from 15/06 to 15/09.

The hotel reserves the right to change the list and terms of provided services before the start of the season, and even during the season, in accordance with current circumstances if these circumstances don’t affect the conditions of tourists’ stay significantly.

Tourist Tax

According to the law of the Tunisian Republic which came into force on December 8, 2017, tourists traveling to Tunisia must pay a hotel tax on arrival to the hotel.

The tax is 3 TND per person per night in four- and five-star hotels, 2 TND per person per night in three-star hotels, and 1 TND per person per night in two-star hotels.

The maximum number of nights the tax can be charged is seven, so customers staying longer than seven nights will only be charged for the first seven nights of their stay. If tourists stay in a hotel for less than a week, they pay only for the actual number of nights.

Children under 12 are exempt from paying the tax. If a child turns 12 in the first week of a hotel stay, from that moment the tax is charged for the number of nights remaining till the end of that week.

Accommodation in Hotels during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the situation in the world, additional sanitary and safety measures have been introduced, measures to protect guests and hotel employees have been implemented in Tunisia in accordance with local regulatory requirements. Special attention is paid to the compliance with hygiene standards and sanitary safety rules on all the way from arrival of tourists to their departure. Moreover, employees of tourist organizations and tourist accommodation facilities follow protocols on sanitary safety introduced by local authorities.
