ConX and AfterX: tourism industry professionals gather in Palma de Mallorca

On June 2–3 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, two landmark events focused on the global travel industry’s operations in an era of rapidly advancing technologies, ConX and AfterX, were hosted. Carthage Group participated in this two-day gathering of industry professionals organized by Travelgate. We were also proud to serve as one of the sponsors of ConX and AfterX. This was a truly valuable experience for us, as the association of the Carthage Group brand with such prestigious international events strengthens the company’s position as an active and reliable member of the global travel and hospitality community.

The scale of the event in numbers

ConX and AfterX brought together more than 1,000 senior executives and industry professionals representing over 500 companies from more than 50 countries worldwide. Participants included decision-makers from across the travel ecosystem, including tour operators, bedbanks, online travel agencies (OTAs), destination management companies (DMCs), technology providers, fintech companies and hotel groups.

Representing Carthage Group at the event was a multidisciplinary delegation consisting of key professionals from the company’s commercial and technology divisions:

ConX and AfterX: highlights from the event

The second-day event, AfterX, offered participants a more informal setting focused on strengthening professional and personal relationships. While business discussions initiated during ConX continued, the emphasis shifted toward deepening industry connections in a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.

From a commercial perspective, the events in Palma de Mallorca provided excellent opportunities for our group to expand its international network, strengthen existing partnerships and initiate new collaborative projects with key market players.

In addition, Carthage Group proudly served as one of the sponsors of ConX and AfterX. This marked our first participation in Travelgate’s annual industry gathering in such a capacity and format, representing an important step toward increasing brand visibility. The Carthage Group brand was featured across various event communication channels and promotional materials, further enhancing its presence within the global travel community.
