Uthina (Oudna) – Zaghouan and a Visit to an Oil Mill

Lovers of historical romance and traditional crafts enjoy traveling along the Oudna–Zaghouan route. The first destination is a famous archaeological park, where excavations are still underway at what was once a wealthy Roman city. The Capitol, temples, amphitheater, villas, and public buildings are open for visitors.

Tech enthusiasts will find the engineering structures fascinating. The remains of an aqueduct that supplied the city with water from springs in the mountains of the Tunisian Atlas. This aqueduct began in the city of Zaghouan. Here, you can see the spring and the water temple, as well as admire the mountainous nature of Tunisia.

The tour ends at one of the olive oil mills of the company «Al Jazira,» where you will have the exceptional opportunity to see the olive oil production process and taste different varieties.
