How was the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebration on the African Mediterranean coast for our guests from Bulgaria? A magical Maghreb night in Tunisia. We share all the details in a video from fellow travelers!
We have been organizing New Year celebrations for tourists from various countries for several years now. Each time, we develop special programs and carefully plan the menus to ensure it’s an unforgettable experience filled with unique enchantment. The joy and smiles on our guests’ faces make all our efforts worthwhile. We hope that the gala dinner held at the Royal Azur Thalassa 5* resort was enjoyed by everyone.
There is nothing like the cozy charm of a quiet night in Hammamet. Our previous New Year’s event in 2024 followed exactly this format and took place in the same location, which turned out to be very successful. So, we decided to recreate the magic once again.
Participants of the gala dinner included Bulgarian tourists staying at two resorts located within the same territory: Novostar Bel Azur Thalassa & Bungalows 4* and Royal Azur Thalassa 5*. No other guests from these hotels were invited, as the event was exclusively tailored for visitors who arrived in Tunisia via our long-standing Carthage Group partners, the Emerald Travel tour operator.
Although the New Year celebration in Tunisia can be cozy and beautiful, it can also be quite action-packed. The mild winter weather here encourages exploration, giving travelers a chance to fully immerse themselves in the rich historical heritage and enjoy the natural diversity of the region.
Speaking specifically about Bulgarian tourists, one cannot help but notice how tightly they usually pack their itineraries while visiting Tunisia. Many of our guests returned from excursions just before 8 PM on December 31st. Some had taken short trips, for instance, visiting El Djem and Kairouan. Others went straight from a two-day Sahara adventure to the gala dinner at Royal Azur Thalassa 5*, arriving almost directly «from the ship to the ball.»
But even that wasn’t everything. On January 1st, we offered Bulgarian travelers guided tours along routes such as «Three Capitals», «Tunis – Carthage – Sidi Bou Said – Bardo Museum» and «Sousse – Monastir». Despite having spent a sleepless night celebrating, there were still plenty of enthusiastic participants ready for more adventures. One can only tip their hat to such energy and eagerness for new experiences!
Wishing all our guests an exciting tourism season in 2026! Watch the video from Royal Azur Thalassa 5* and get inspired by the festive atmosphere!
