The Hotel

The hotel will be a good choice for any kinds of tourists, such as couples, families with children and young people. In 2018 rooms and public areas were renovated.

The location of Occidental Sousse Marhaba 4* is just great: the hotel has a magnificent beach and at the same time, it’s situated in the very heart of the tourist area of Sousse city. There are nightclubs and discos, amusement parks and museums, including the 3D Museum that will give its visitors lots of impressions.

The guests of Sousse have a chance to make a gastro tour, since there are such restaurants as Hard Rock Cafe, La Villa, La Daurade, Le Méditerranée, Gourmandise and many others.

Infrastructure

In Occidental Sousse Marhaba 4* there are 240 rooms located in the main hotel building. There are also 3 bars and a restaurant, 3 swimming pools (an outdoor pool with water slides, children’s pool and a heated indoor pool), a SPA center ($), 6 tennis courts. For those who want to blend work and vacation, there is a conference hall ($). Little travelers will like a mini club and children’s playground. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including rooms.

Beach

The hotel is situated on the 1st coastline and has a private sandy gently sloping beach which is perfect for family holidays. Sun loungers, beach and pool umbrellas and mattresses are provided free of charge, beach towels are available with a deposit.

Water slides

There is a water park in the hotel which consists of 3 water slides for adults and a slide for children.

Bars & Restaurants

There are two All Inclusive restaurants in the hotel: the Palmeraie snack bar and the main restaurant Marhaba where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style. The restaurant boasts modern elegant interior and an excellent chef who cooks delicious meals.

There are All Inclusive bars in the lobby, by the pool and on the beach.

The rooms are located in the main hotel building equipped with an elevator. There are 3 Room Types: Standard Room, Sea View Room, Superior Family Room / Sea View. Maximum occupancy is 6 people.

Additional Information

Changes of the List and Terms of Provided Services

In Tunisian hotels the Open Space service (serving the clients outdoors) is usually provided from 01/06 till 30/09. The actual schedule correlates with weather conditions.

The mandatory air conditioning period in Tunisia lasts from 15/06 to 15/09.

The hotel reserves the right to change the list and terms of provided services before the start of the season, and even during the season, in accordance with current circumstances if these circumstances don’t affect the conditions of tourists’ stay significantly.

Tourist Tax

According to the law of the Tunisian Republic which came into force on December 8, 2017, tourists traveling to Tunisia must pay a hotel tax on arrival to the hotel.

The tax is 3 TND per person per night in four- and five-star hotels, 2 TND per person per night in three-star hotels, and 1 TND per person per night in two-star hotels.

The maximum number of nights the tax can be charged is seven, so customers staying longer than seven nights will only be charged for the first seven nights of their stay. If tourists stay in a hotel for less than a week, they pay only for the actual number of nights.

Children under 12 are exempt from paying the tax. If a child turns 12 in the first week of a hotel stay, from that moment the tax is charged for the number of nights remaining till the end of that week.

Accommodation in Hotels during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the situation in the world, additional sanitary and safety measures have been introduced, measures to protect guests and hotel employees have been implemented in Tunisia in accordance with local regulatory requirements. Special attention is paid to the compliance with hygiene standards and sanitary safety rules on all the way from arrival of tourists to their departure. Moreover, employees of tourist organizations and tourist accommodation facilities follow protocols on sanitary safety introduced by local authorities.
